The process of assigning a volunteer
In order to make the process of matching a place to a volunteer more efficient, there are a few stages:
-
Filling a personal questionnaire
The questionnaire includes personal details and an array of questions aimed at allowing the Ruach Tova team to learn about the personal preferences, skills and wishes of the person wanting to volunteer. This enables placement in an organization best suited by his or her request and abilities, in which he or she will be able to contribute to the best of his or her ability.
-
Getting relevant offers
After filling the questionnaire, it will be transferred to the international volunteers' coordinators. The coordinator will examine the details and preferences filled in the questionnaire and examine the suitable offers for volunteering within the database at his service. After this examination, the volunteer coordinator will send by email, or give by phone the relevant volunteering opportunities suiting his wishes, preferences and limitations.
-
Choosing the preferred activity
After given the options open for the volunteer, he or she will then choose the most suitable activity or activities and be given the full details. This, of course, after our coordinator has checked with the organization aimed to have the volunteer that the match is good for both sides.
The volunteer will then get the contact information of the coordinator in the chosen organization, for him to be able to learn more specific details and set up a meeting to see the place and get a closer impression of the place and work hes going to do. At this point the Ruach Tova coordinator will just check that both sides are happy with the match and will be very glad to hear from the volunteer about his or her experience, while or after the volunteering period.

Future relationship with the volunteers
Ruach Tova keeps continouos contact with the volunteers, through the website and newsletters distributed to the volunteers, in order to expand its circle of volunteers to all the levels of society.
